Upgrade to Abstraction
Art adds color and character to a room. There are many styles of art, and each has its own appeal. Abstract, or nonobjective painting, however, lends a special, distinctive touch to any decor. Landscapes, still lifes, and works featuring people suggest definite times and places. They help bring back memories or evoke dreams, but after a few years, they tend to be just what they are. Nonobjective pieces leave more space for the viewer's imagination. You can look at an abstract painting every day for years and see something different in it each time. The brilliant colors and bold compositions of abstract works set off rich, dark antiques. They also look stunning with the clean lines of contemporary furnishings. There are abstract paintings for every taste. Nature lovers may respond to abstracts suggested by detailed study of rocks, flowers, waves, or star fields. Mathematicians will appreciate geometric or complex optical designs. Some abstract paintings are inspired by raw emotion. Others derive from deep spiritual experiences. When you hang a beautiful abstract on your wall and someone asks, "what is it?" Smile and say, "what do you think?" Join saavy collectors all over the world and find your kind of abstract.
